After an incredibly successful Stand By Me rally on Sunday 24 February I would like to send out a HUGE thank you to all our PDCN members and supporters who came and took part in the day. Your show of support means so much to us, but more importantly sends a clear message to the NSW Government that independent advocacy information and peak funding is vital to people with disability throughout NSW.
However, now is not the time to stop – we need to keep the noise and momentum up – so each time you hear the Premier, or your local MP announce another election promise, please jump onto social media and congratulate them for their work and politely ask when they’ll announce funding for disability advocacy! … and don’t forget to include the hashtags #JustDoItGladys and #StandByMe. Let’s ensure the Premier knows that we’re not going away until the NSW Government delivers this vital funding too!
